About

Tara brings a warm, welcoming, considered and compassionate approach to her work. She holds her clients with care – working collaboratively to understand and move towards the unique set of goals, values and circumstances of each individual.

Tara values integrity, openness, respect and genuine connection.

Practicing as a Clinical Psychologist for 20 years, Tara has broad knowledge and therapeutic skills to bring to her clients.

In her private practice, Tara works with adult clients to provide specialist psychological therapy across a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, adjustment, relationship issues, stress management, coping with illness, carer support, grief, perinatal and parenting challenges, amongst other presenting issues.

Across her career, she has worked with adults experiencing chronic illness within public hospital settings. In these roles, she has focused on the psychological impact of illness (including cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, and Cystic Fibrosis), managing adjustment to significant life events, carer support, pain management, end-of-life care, and grief and loss.

Tara continues to balance her work commitments between private practice in Randwick and her public health role as Senior Clinical Psychologist at St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst. She utilises various modes of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal, Existential & Schema Therapy frameworks.

Tara is an AHPRA Board-Approved Supervisor for psychologists and registrars.
